Christina Lam joins Hugh Stewart as the co-owner of the Hi-Speed Motorsports Race team. The team consists of a HPD Civic Si, HPD Civic Type R, and two Hi-Speed BMW M3. Lam joins the team with 4 years of experience with the team and is excited to support this expansion.
Hi-Speed Motorsports is pleased to partner with Honda Performance Development (HPD) in a race team effort. The team will utilize two HPD factory racecars, the TCA Civic Si and the TC Civic Type R.
The two car program will be campaigned in SCCA, NASA, SRO, and AER. The team will be managed by Hugh Stewart and Christina Lam. Hi-Speed Motorsports has seats to test available immediately.
Hugh Stewart has a rich history in pro racing being a factory driver in World Challenge. He brings his experience to Hi-Speed Motorsports by building and leading the best BMWs in SCCA and NASA competition. Hugh Stewart handles driver coaching, car setups, and car preparation.

Christina Lam holds an electrical engineering degree and several years of experience working for Hi-Speed Motorsports. She handles the business development, driver coaching, and race team logistics.
“I am excited to expand our team by working with HPD to offer two turnkey factory racecar options in our lineup.” said Lam. “We will have testing opportunities available in both cars for pro, club, and endurance racing. The TCA car is a well-developed platform coming off an SRO TCA Championship. The TC car is a strong contender in its classes and will continue Honda’s success in racing.”
About Honda Performance Development
Founded in 1993, Honda Performance Development designs and develops racing engines, and chassis and performance parts for a variety of motorsports applications. HPD competes in IndyCar, F3, F4, Formula F, Quarter Midget, Touring Cars, Rally, Motorcycle, and Off-Road Motorsports. HPD also provides factory support and parts to grassroots racers, helping power their racing dreams.
TCA Civic Si
The TCA Civic Si factory racecar is built to compete in SRO TC America, Canadian Touring Car Championship, SCCA T3, and NASA H2. The car comes complete from HPD with a roll cage, HPD-developed and homologated parts including engine, suspension, exhaust, and electronic packages.
TC Civic Type R
The TC Civic Type R factory racecar follows the success of the TCA and TCR cars. It is built to compete in SRO TC America, SCCA T2, and NASA ST3. The TC Type R was developed and tested in-house by HPD engineers as a modified version of the production Type R designed exclusively for track use. Production is done by Gradient Racing in Austin, Texas. The Type R begins its life as a body in white from Honda’s Swindon, England facility. It utilizes the 2.0 liter K20C1 VTEC Turbo engine and can produce 270 to 330hp depending on the series.

Hi-Speed Motorsports was founded in 1994 and is located in Milford, CT. Hi-Speed Motorsport specializes in full race car builds, setups, driver coaching, and rental programs. The shop supports customer builds and racecars at the track including full service arrive and drive with coaching.
Mid Ohio is one of my favorite tracks. My first time at this track was in 2019 where I came away with a P3 and P4 finish in a deep T1 field.
